Flow Yoga
This yoga class combines mindful movement with clear alignment and conscious breathing. We begin with a short arrival meditation to sense the body and gather the mind – breathing exercises and mindfulness cues accompany you throughout the entire class.
The flow moves at a calm pace: we deliberately hold individual asanas for longer to deepen their effect. Strength, stability and mobility alternate – with the focus on clean execution, a calm breathing rhythm and feeling from within. An extended final relaxation lets the practice sink in and gives you deep regeneration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Flow Yoga?
Flow Yoga combines mindful movement with clear alignment and conscious breathing. You flow through the class at a calm pace and deliberately hold individual asanas for longer to deepen their effect, alternating between strength, stability and mobility. A class lasts 60 minutes.
What does a Flow Yoga class look like?
We begin with a short arrival meditation in which you sense your body and gather your mind. This is followed by a calm flow in which strengthening, stabilising and mobilising poses alternate – accompanied by breathing exercises and mindfulness cues. At the end, an extended final relaxation lets the practice sink in.
Is Flow Yoga suitable for beginners?
Yes, Flow Yoga is suitable for all levels. The calm pace gives you time to enter each pose with care, and our teachers show you variations for every level. Even if you have been practising for a while, the longer-held asanas let you discover new depth.
Do I need to be particularly flexible?
No. Flexibility isn't a prerequisite – it develops over time. Yoga isn't about perfection but about awareness, breath and movement – everyone starts from wherever they are right now.
How does Flow Yoga differ from your other yoga classes?
Flow Yoga is mindful and calm in pace, with longer-held asanas, breathing exercises and an extended final relaxation. Evening Flow Yoga is gently dynamic and designed to help you wind down at the end of the day. Yoga Hatha x Vinyasa combines strengthening poses with flowing transitions – and in a compact 45 minutes in the middle of the day, there is Yoga Lunch Flow. Even calmer and entirely focused on regeneration is Slow Yoga Flow. For special stages of life, we also offer Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga Mum & Baby, Kids' Yoga and Parent & Child Yoga.
What should I bring to Flow Yoga?
Please bring a towel – it's mandatory for hygiene reasons. If you forget yours, you can rent one at the studio for €2. Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely; for a secure grip on the mat, we recommend non-slip socks (Pilates or grip socks). Please also bring something to drink (no glass bottles). We provide mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps at the studio free of charge.
Can I take part if I have physical complaints or am pregnant?
Please let your teacher know about any complaints before class so she can adapt your practice individually. If you have acute pain or have recently had surgery, we recommend consulting your doctor beforehand. During pregnancy, we recommend our Pregnancy Yoga, and after birth Yoga Mum & Baby – both are specifically tailored to these stages. Feel free to get in touch, we're happy to advise you.
