Slow Yoga Flow
The calm counterpart to our active classes: in this grounding, restorative yoga flow, you move slowly and mindfully through longer-held poses close to the floor. Deepening your breath helps you release tension and settle into calm – the focus is entirely on relaxation and regeneration, not on performance.
Props such as blocks and blankets support you so you can hold every pose comfortably and without strain. Suitable for all levels – and especially soothing in times of stress, restlessness or exhaustion. No previous experience needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Slow Yoga Flow?
Slow Yoga Flow is a grounding, restorative yoga flow: you move slowly and mindfully through longer-held poses close to the floor while deepening your breath. The focus is entirely on relaxation and regeneration – not on performance. This makes the class the calm counterpart to our active classes. A class lasts 60 minutes.
What does restorative yoga mean?
In restorative yoga, poses are supported with props such as blocks and blankets so that you can hold them without effort. Your body doesn't have to perform, your muscles can let go – and you get the space to truly settle into calm. Slow Yoga Flow combines this stillness with gentle, slow transitions between the poses.
Who is Slow Yoga Flow for?
For anyone who wants to slow down – regardless of age, fitness or experience. You don't need any previous experience. The class is especially soothing in times of stress, restlessness or exhaustion, and as a counterbalance if you usually train more intensively, for example in Pilates or Barre.
Do I need to be particularly flexible?
No. Flexibility isn't a prerequisite – it develops over time. Blocks and blankets adapt each pose to your body, so you can settle into it comfortably and without pressure.
How does Slow Yoga Flow differ from your other yoga classes?
Slow Yoga Flow is the calm counterpart to our active classes: close to the floor, with longer-held, supported poses and entirely focused on relaxation. Flow Yoga is also mindful and calm, but combines strength, stability and mobility with clear alignment. Yoga Hatha x Vinyasa and Yoga Lunch Flow combine strengthening poses with flowing transitions, while Evening Flow Yoga is gently dynamic and designed to help you wind down at the end of the day. For special stages of life, we also offer Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga Mum & Baby, Kids' Yoga and Parent & Child Yoga.
What should I bring to Slow Yoga Flow?
Please bring a towel – it's mandatory for hygiene reasons. If you forget yours, you can rent one at the studio for €2. Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely; for a secure grip on the mat, we recommend non-slip socks (Pilates or grip socks). Please also bring something to drink (no glass bottles). We provide mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets and straps at the studio free of charge. As you'll spend a lot of time resting in this class, an extra warm layer such as a jumper can be pleasant.
Can I take part if I have physical complaints or am pregnant?
Please let your teacher know about any complaints before class so she can adapt your practice individually. If you have acute pain or have recently had surgery, we recommend consulting your doctor beforehand. During pregnancy, we recommend our Pregnancy Yoga, and after birth Yoga Mum & Baby – both are specifically tailored to these stages. Feel free to get in touch, we're happy to advise you.
