Frequently Asked Questions
What is Pilates Sculpt & Tone?
Pilates Sculpt & Tone is mat Pilates with an extra: resistance bands intensify the classic Pilates exercises. With controlled movements and targeted sequences for your core, legs, glutes and arms, you shape, tone and strengthen your whole body. A class lasts 60 minutes.
What are the resistance bands for?
The bands add extra resistance to your movements. This makes your muscles work harder without heavy weights putting strain on your joints. Depending on how you hold and tension the band, you make an exercise easier or more challenging – so the workout adapts to your level.
Do I need to bring my own bands?
No, we provide the bands at the studio – as well as mats and all other equipment.
Which muscles do I train in Sculpt & Tone?
The sequences work your whole body: core, legs, glutes and arms. You build strength, improve your stability and define your muscles – with the precise, controlled approach that defines Pilates.
Is Pilates Sculpt & Tone suitable for beginners?
Yes. Every exercise comes with suitable variations, and you set your own pace and intensity. Our trainers show you how to work with the band and pay attention to clean execution – so you train safely at your level.
How does Sculpt & Tone differ from your other Pilates classes?
In Sculpt & Tone, the resistance bands take centre stage: they intensify the classic exercises and shape your whole body. Pilates Full Body Flow is our well-balanced full-body workout, Pilates Core Power and Pilates Strong Back & Core focus on your core and back, and Pilates Legs & Glutes on legs and glutes. If you enjoy shaping and toning, also try Barre – a full-body workout inspired by ballet, Pilates and functional strength training.
What should I bring to Pilates Sculpt & Tone?
Please bring a towel – it's mandatory for hygiene reasons. If you forget yours, you can rent one at the studio for €2. Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely, and bring something to drink (no glass bottles). We train in non-slip socks (Pilates or grip socks). We provide mats and all other equipment at the studio.
Can I do Sculpt & Tone during pregnancy or after giving birth?
During pregnancy, we recommend our Prenatal Pilates class, which is fully tailored to the needs of this time. After birth, it's best to start with Postnatal Pilates, which we offer as a fixed course block, or with Pilates Mum & Baby before returning to more intensive classes. Feel free to get in touch, we're happy to advise you.
